Okay, I'm back with the photo of the flowers that my friend at work gave me, they were lovely white lily's and mostly buds so we got to enjoy them for quite awhile as they kept opening a new flower almost every day.

Mum and I flew down to Blenheim for my Grandad's funneral, it was a lovely time spent with family there, telling stories about Pop and just being together. The funneral went really well, it was more of a celebration of his life, than a mourning time, I guess once you reach 100yrs you can't really ask for much more - each new day is a gift. I was really proud of my Aunty, she spoke well and so did two of my cousins. I did the bible reading, which was short thank goodness! And one of Pop's main carers spoke about her time with him (he lived at home with my Aunty and her family - except for short stays at local resthomes when they had a wee break and went away, my Aunty was simply amazing with him and she will be missing him alot.)
The funneral was in the morning and in the afternoon one of my Mum's friends came and took Mum and I out for a drive and we went to the local park for a stroll, and then she took us to a wonderful quilt shop, which my Aunty had taken us to the day before, but we didn't mind going back to! My Aunty brought me a quilt pattern for my birthday - which isn't until the 27th - so I got it early :o) it is this one called
'Woof' by Lynette Anderson I don't think I will do the whole quilt - I think I will probably use the pattern and make a cushion or two.

Bag swap update - my swap partner has recieved the bag I made and she is pleased with it (thank goodness!!) The lovely
Kathleen left me a lovely post on my blog (two posts below I think, the one with the photo of the finished bag) She thinks she might use it for her quilting rulers - which I think is a grand idea!
Now I had better go and make a start on dinner as Jack has a school social tonight. (We used to call them disco's in my day!!)
See ya.
